Very Good
Book incredible things to do on Maui

Good value for the money.

We arrived as a large group of eleven people, and they had already set us up all together on a section of the boat when we signed in (that was nice, rather than scattering us all over the boat) then when we were seated our server carefully explained everything about the drinks, food service, what to do if it rains (and it was sprinkling a little at the time) and so on. I read other reviews that seemed confused about these things, however, if a person listens to the server it's all clearly explained. Next, the food: I ordered a prime rib. It was not overcooked, quite tender and a good portion. There was bread on the table and after a small salad, the entree was served. Others at my table had the Mahi-Mahi and they were also delighted with the quality/quantity of food. Drinks: Our first drink was a Mai Tai and it was good... however drinks served from the bar were much stronger (and quite honestly VERY good) there was a total of three drinks included in the price and you could get more for $5 each if you wanted to but I only had two, which for me was plenty. We didn't see a sunset as it was cloudy/rainy and the ships' captain did his/her best to keep us in smooth water and out of the rain and they did a outstanding job at that. As it was, there was some rollers which made it interesting for the wait staff serving food - they did awesome - I don't know if I could have done it as well. The entertainment: The talent was a ukulele/keyboard/vocalist - she played along with backing tracks and it was nice. Not too much jabber, just songs from the 60's through the 90's which many sang along to (including me.) So overall this is a recommendation of the Maui Princess. You can easily spend the same amount on dinner at other Lahaina land restaurants, and you wouldn't have the boat ride, as good entertainment or as great food. Enjoy!
